The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) requires bloggers to disclose how a website makes money and whether or not a book review is a paid endorsement.
1) MoreSpecFic uses Amazon Affiliate links and banners. There’s an example at the end of this post. If you make a purchase after clicking one of these advertisements, MoreSpecFic receives a small commission from Amazon. The commission does not increase your purchase price, and Amazon does not share your email or any other personal or financial details.
2) MoreSpecFic does not post paid reviews. We buy most of our books from an assortment of online and bricks and mortar bookstores. Sometimes we get books from the library, and we can smell a used bookstore ten miles away. We’ve even been known to grab books out of the trash (we scored a complete OED that way once). If we’ve been given a free review copy, we’ll say so in the review.
