Review: Undermountain, by Eric Kent Edstrom

Undermountain, by Eric Kent Edstrom

Bigfoot. Sasquatch. Skunk Ape. Campfire stories, right? That’s what six teens thought when they set out into the woods with a cantankerous guide.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from Edstrom’s novel because bigfoot stories aren’t really my thing. To my delighted surprise, Undermountain turned out to be a rollicking adventure novel that hits all the right beats – danger, wonder, humor, just the right amount of snark, and secret so big that it takes a mountain to hide it.

Marketed as YA, this middle aged adult enjoyed it just fine.

First in a series of three.

Price when reviewed: $7.99 Kindle, $16.99 paper
